DHAKA: Chamber Judge of Appellate Division upheld the High Court’s bail order on BNP leader Barrister Rafiqul Islam, who is accused in seven sabotage cases.

Chamber Judge Hasan Fayez Siddique passed the ‘no order’ verdict, upholding the HC order, on Wednesday following the appeal from the state.

Former Attorney General AJ Mohammad Ali stood for the defender.

Earlier on May 26, Justice Mohammad Rezaul Haque and Justice Mohammad Khasruzzaman granted a four-week anticipatory bail for Rafiqul Islam.

However, the sabotage cases were filed with Mirpur and Pallabi thanas in city.
