DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia hosted an iftar party in honor of writers, journalists and other professionals on Monday.

The program was held at Bashundhara Convention city of the city in the evening.

The BNP chief exchanged greetings with them and enquired about their well-being.

A special prayer was also held at the program seeing continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.

Senior leaders of BNP and its associates attended the iftar.

Moreover, News Today editor Riaz Uddin Ahmed, Naya Diganta editor Alamgir Mohiuddin, director of News Jamuna Televition Mamun and its head of news Zakaria Kajal, Din Kal editor Dr Rezwan Siddique, among others, also took part at the event.

Earlier on Sunday, the BNP chief arranged an iftar party for political leaders at the same venue.

On June 19, Khaleda Zia hosted iftar for Islamic scholars and orphans at Ladies Club in city’s Iskaton Garden Road.
