9 female Jamaat activists held in Jhenaidah

JHENAIDAH: Police detained nine female activists of Jamaat-e-Islami in Jhenaidah sadar upazila of the district Saturday noon.

Jhenaidah Sadar Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Biplab Kumar Nath told banglanews that the detainees were engaged in planning to carry out anti-state activities.

On information, police conducted the drive in the house of Mohsin Mia in Beparipara of the upazila and detained nine female activists of Jamaat-e-Islami, he added.
