DHAKA: BNP chairperson, also former premier Khaleda Zia, held a meeting with party’s senior leaders at her Gulshan political office in city Monday night.

The meeting started around 9:00pm.

BNP chairperson’s media wing member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Sources said that the BNP chief discussed about the enduring political situation of the country as well as the party’s strategy of movement after the Eid.

BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, Barrister Jamir Uddin Sircar, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, ASM Hannan Shah, Lieutenant General (retd) Mahbubur Rahman, party vice chairman Abdullah Al Noman, Sarwari Zahan, Kamal Ibne Yusuf and Selima Rahman attended the meeting.

This was the first meeting at BNP chief’s political office since she left it on April 5.

Khaleda Zia stayed in the office from early January to press demand of free and fair national election under caretaker government. She also led nationwide anti-government movement from the office.
