DHAKA: Central committee of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) announced a two-day nationwide demonstration from July 21 as a protest of the arrest of its president Rajib Ahsan.
JCD vice-president Nazmul Hasan made the announcement at a press conference at Nayapaltan central office in city on Monday afternoon.
According to the JCD leader, demonstrations will be organized in every district, city and university on July 21 while at thanas, municipalities and colleges on July 22.
He also termed the case against the JCD president as ‘false’ and condemned the arrest.
JCD leaders Tarequzzaman, Manum Billah, Iftekhar Kabir, Mehbub Masum Shanto, among others, were present at the press conference.
