DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Tuesday released 31 BNP leaders and activists including party’s joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and standing committee member MK Anwar from a sabotage case filed with Ramna Thana in city.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Aminul Haque exempted the BNP men after taking the charge-sheet in cognizance at noon.

Earlier on May 19, Ramna Thana police submitted a charge-sheet accusing seven and recommending exempting 31 BNP men including Ruhul Kabir and MK Anwar from the sabotage case.

The case was filed following the blast of cocktails in front of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in city’s Segun Bagicha area on January 17.
