KHULNA: Police detained 119 Jamaat-Shibir leaders and activists including Khulna Metropolitan unit Shibir president Miraz Hossain raiding in a Madrasa at Sonadanga Thursday.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Sonadanga Model Thana Officer-in-Charge Maruf Ahmed said, “The detainees were holding a secret meeting at Siddikia Kamil Madrasa. On information police raided the madrasa and detained them.”

“Most of the detainees are teachers and students of the madrasa and they are being quizzed at the Thana,” he added.
