DHAKA: Ganajagaran Mancha, a pro-liberation youth front, declared half-day hartal on Tuesday across the country.

The declaration came from a protest meeting in city’s Shahbagh area on Sunday.

The front spokesperson Imran H Sarkar made the announcement as a protest of attacks on publishers and writers in city.

Earlier on Saturday (October 31), assailants hacked Jagriti publications owner Foysal Arefin Dipon to death in Shahbagh and chopped Suddhaswar owner Ahmedur Rashid Tutul, and two writers in city’s Lalmatia area.
