KHULNA:  Police, in special drive, detained 53 people, including leaders-activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Jubo Dal, at different places of the district on Saturday night.

Of the detainees, four are identified as Munshi Jakir, organizing secretary of Sona Danga Thana Jubo Dal, Babul Faraji, joint organizing secretary of 21 no ward Jubo Dal,  M Akber, former president  of  Doulatpur thana unit Jubo Dal and Saiful Molla, ameer of Dighalia Thana Jamaat.

Earlier, court issued warrant for arrest to the four leaders, said Khulna metropolitan police (KMP) special branch ADC Moniruzzaman Mithu.
