DHAKA: BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi alleged that the ruling Awami League (AL) has taken all preparations to take upcoming municipality poll results in favor of them.

Moreover, the opposition candidates are being harassed, arrested and vandalism, he added.

The BNP leader made this allegation at a press conference at party’s headquarters in city’s Nayapaltan area on Tuesday.

He also blamed the role of Election Commission (EC) as it termed BNP’s allegations as ‘conventional’.

Rizvi also urged the voters to cast their votes and stay at the poll centers till the announcement of the results to foil the ruling party’s conspiracies.
