SYLHET: A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Shahriar Alam Shipar, president of Sylhet metropolitan unit Islami Chhatra Shibir, from Shahi Eidgah area of the town on Friday (January 29).

Major Humayun Kabir of RAB-9 confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He further said there were at least 30 cases, including attacking police, filed against Shipar.

Of those cases, court issued arrest warrant in 18 cases, he added.
