DHAKA: A court in Dhaka on Wednesday re-fixed the indictment hearing of BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and 24 others in sabotage case filed under Shahjahanpur thana in city.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Atikur Rahman deferred the date to March 9 in response to a time petition.

Defense lawyer Joynul Abedin Mezbah filed the petition seeking deferment of the charge hearing.

Wednesday (February 03) was the date for indictment hearing in the case.
Of the accused, Mirza Fakhrul, BNP vice chairman Abdullah Al Noman and joint secretary Aman Ullah Aman appeared before the court.

But BNP standing committee member Moudud Ahmed and Jubo Dal president Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal skipped in court appearance.

On March 2, 2013 some miscreants vandalized and torched vehicles in Shahjahanpur thana area during BNP-Jamaat alliance called hartal.

Later, Shahjahanpur thana sub-inspector (SI) Ashraf Ali filed a case in this connection.
