SATKHIRA: Police arrested 19 activists of BNP and its key ally Jamaat-e-Islami in accusation of creating violence in Satkhira district on Sunday (February 14).

The arrest drives were conducted from the wee hours of Sunday to early morning in different parts of the district.

District police information official and also sub-inspector (SI) Kamal Hossain told banglanews that conducting drives police arrested 12 Jamaat, 5 Shibir and 2 BNP activists.

Moreover, 73 people were arrested in several cases, he added.
