PANCHAGARH: Elections in four union parisads (UP) adjacent to recently defunct enclaves in Boda upazila of Panchagarh district have been postponed.
 
The UPs are Kajoldighi Kaliaganj, Boroshishi, Mareya and Moidandighi of Boda upazila.

Panchagarh district election office sources said the election in UPs has been postponed as demarcation of recently defunct enclaves have completed yet and inhabitants of the areas have yet to add in voter list.   

Panchagarh district election officer Dewan M Sarwar Jahan told banglanews that they have received letter from the Election Commission on Tuesday (March 1) regarding the postponement of polls in the four UPs.

The voting in 10 union parisads of the upazila was scheduled to hold  on March 31. Now, voters of six UPs will cast their vote on the date.
