COX’S BAZAR: At least seven people sustained bullet injuries after the supporters of two Union Parishad (UP) member-contestants of Teknaf Sadar Union of Cox’s Bazar district locked into clashes on Tuesday noon (March 22).
Witnesses said that supporters of UP member candidates Abul Hossain Raju and Omar Hakim locked into clashes to establish supremacy in the poll centers.
The clashes left seven people bullet-shot, they added.
The victims have been admitted at Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital.
Teknaf Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Abdul Majid told banglanews that on information police rushed to the spot and kept the situation under their control.
