DHAKA: A dawn-to-dusk hartal, enforced by Jamaat-e-Islami protesting the ‘conspiracy’ of canceling Islam as state religion from constitution, is underway across the country on Monday (March 28).
Party acting secretary general Dr Shafiqur Rahman announced the hartal, said a media release issued on Sunday (March 27).
The release also said ambulances, mortuary transport services, hospitals, fire service and newspaper vans will remain out of hartal purview.
