DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia appeared before the court on Tuesday morning (April 5) with an appeal for bail in five cases filed against her.

Of the cases, two were filed on charge of killing passengers by a petrol bomb attack in a bus in Jatrabari area in city, a sabotage case filed with Gulshan police station, GATCO scam case and a sedition case for her comments about the martyred freedom fighters.

Earlier, the BNP chief reached the court premises around 10:18am.

Meanwhile, police has beefed up the security from Gulistan to Sadar Ghat in this regard.
