DHAKA: The names of BNP’s seven joint secretaries general and eight organizing secretaries, endorsed by party chairperson Khaleda Zia, have been announced on Saturday (April 9).

BNP senior joint secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the names at a press conference at party central office in city’s Nayapaltan area.

He said that the seven joint secretaries general included Barrister Mahbubuddin Khokon, Mojibur Rahman Sarowar, Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, Khairul Kabir Khokon, Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel, Harunur Rashid and Lion Aslam Chowdhury.

The organizing secretaries included Fazlul Haque Milon of Dhaka, Dr Shahadat Hossain of Chittagong, Nazrul Islam Manju of Khulna, Advocate Ruhul Kuddus Talukdar of Rajshahi, Bilkis Jahan Shirin of Barisal, Asadul Habib Dulu of Rangpur, Imran Sohel Prince of Mymensingh and Shama Obaid of Faridpur.

Rizvi further said that the newly posted leaders were finally selected by BNP chairperson as the councilors had bestowed the power of forming party committees to her.
