MEHERPUR: Police arrested BNP national committee executive member, also former lawmaker of Mehepur-1 Masud Arun in sabotage case.

A police team, led by Meherpur Sadar Thana Office-in-Charge (OC) Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury, conducted drive and arrested him from his residence in Kasharipara area of the town on Monday (April 11) morning.

Meherpur Police Super MP Hamidul Alam confirmed the matter to Banglanews adding, Masud Arun was arrested following warrant in a case of sabotage during hartal and anti-government movement in 2014.

He will be sent Masud Arun to the prison through the court, SP added.
