DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia in her Nababarsha greetings called upon people of all professions for national unity by upholding democratic values.
She made this urge at a meeting, organized by BNP’s cultural wing Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (JASAS) on the occasion of Bangla New Year celebration, at BNP central office in city’s Nayapaltan area on Thursday (April 14).
In the short speech, the BNP chief greeted people of all professions both at home and abroad.
She said, ‘We will get democracy back in the country. Job opportunities will be created and the nation will be developed’.
‘All sorts of killings will be stopped,’ she hoped.
‘We should be united to bring democracy back.’
The BNP chief also urged people to work together for the development of the country.
JASAS president Abdul Mannan chaired the event, attended by senior leaders of BNP and its associated organizations.
