RANGPUR: Police has arrested as many as 255 people including three activists of Jamaat-e-Islami in different cases in the district in Monday (May 2).

The Jamaat men are Anwarul Islam (37), Rafiqul Islam (40) and Amirul Islam (40) of Durgapur village of Mithapukur upazila.

Senior Assistant Police Super (ASP) B-circle Mohammad Saifur Rahman said that the Jamaat men are accused in sabotage case,

He further said that the arrestees have been sent to the prison and the arrest drive will continue.
