NATORE: Police detained an UP member with a foreign revolver and 5 round bullets from Naldanga of the district on Sunday (May 15) morning. 

The detainee was identified as Nuruzzaman Suruj Ali, 32.

Naldanga Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Saiful Islam informed banglanews that Suruj was elected as a member of ward-2 of Piprul Union. 

Police conducted drive and found that revolver and bullets from Suruj’s residence.

A case under arms and ammunition act was being filing against him and he will be sent to the jail, SI added.
