No movement possible avoiding Parliament: Suranjit

KISHOREGANJ: Veteran parliamentarian and ruling-party leader Suranjit Sengupta Friday said in the democratic system, the opposition should join and speak in Parliament as no movement is possible bypassing the House.

“We hope good sense will prevail upon the opposition party and they will join the next Parliament session,” said Sengupta, chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry.

He reminded that neither was there any successful movement waged in the country in the past nor would be in the future bypassing the parliament.

While addressing a rally here, the senior Awami League leader also said the next JS session is considered highly important although it would be a short one.

Land management-related law, particularly the “Vested Property Act”, is expected to be passed in the session, Suranjit informed his audience.
