DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia alleged that the ruling Awami League government failed to try any murder incident happened during their tenure.
The party chief came up with this assertion while speaking at an iftar mahfil, organized by National Democratic Party, in city’s Hotel Purani on Saturday (June 18).
There are some reasons why the trial has been stopped as the murderers of Sagor-Runi have not been arrested as the journalist couple had information about government’s corruption. It would be come into light if the accused being arrested, Khaleda Zia added.
BNP leader Lieutenant general (retd) Mahbubu Hossain, Khandakar mahbub Uddin Khokon, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mawlana Abdul Halim and other 20-party alliance leaders were attended the Mahfil.
