BANDARBAN: Five organizations including CHT Citizen Committee called dawn to dusk hartal on Wednesday (August 10) in Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachhari districts demanding the cancellation of amendment of the CHT Land Dispute Resolution Commission Act.

The leaders and activists of the organizations including Sama-Obhikar Andolon Parishad, Jago Parbatyabasi, Parbattya Bangali Chhatra Parishad and Parbatya Nagarik Parishad formed a human chain in front of Bandarban Press Club on Sunday (August 7) supporting their demand.

Later, the speakers declared the hartal to press their demand.

On August 1, the proposal to amend the act was approved in cabinet meeting.
