JESSORE: Miscreants killed newly elected Union Parishad (UP) chairman of Pashapole Union under Chaugachha upazila of the district.

The deceased M Abul Qashem was also Pashapole unit president of ruling Awami League (AL).

The family identified the body on Saturday evening (September 3).

Deceased’s brother-in-law Atiar Rahman confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Police recovered the AL leader’s body earlier on Wednesday (August 31).
