RANGPUR: Police, in separate drives, arrested 42 charge-sheeted people including two activists of Jammat-e-Islami from eight upazilas at the district.

Police conducted the drives from Saturday night (September 10) to Sunday morning (September 11).

Rangpur Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Abdullah-al- Faruque confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said the arrestees are convicted in several cases and facing arrest warrants.

They have been sent to jail through court in the morning, The ASP added.
