Juba League man’s body recovered in Savar

DHAKA NORTH BUREAU (SAVAR): Police recovered body of an activist of local unit Jubo League, an associate body of ruling Awami League, from Savar upazila, on the outskirts of Bangladesh capital early Thursday (October 6).

The deceased was identified as Al Arafat Sajal, 22, son of a farmer Ummat Mia, hailed from Birulia village of the upazila.

Birulia union parishad chairman Saidur Rahman Sujon told Banglanews that Rocky, son of Sajal’s neighbour, on October 3 requested him over mobile phone to go to a place.

Family members filed a GD with local police station after they had found him missing for two days, he said.

Later, police recovered the body near Turag river in Kaundia Singaswar village of the upazila early Thursday, the chairman added.

Meanwhile, villagers held Rocky and handed him over to police in this regard.

Savar model thana assistant police super Mahbubur Rahman told Banglanews that they were processing to file a case.
