JHENAIDAH: Police arrested five activists of Jamaat-e-Islam in sabotage case in Kotchandpur upazila of the district on Thursday (October 5).

Kotchandpur Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Ahmed Kabir told Banglanews that acting on a tip-off police conducted the drives in several places under Dura union of the upazila.

They arrested three Rokans and two activists of Jamaat-e-Islam, he added.

There were cases under explosive and anti-terror act against the arrestees, who were later sent to court after primary interrogation.
