DHAKA: The 20th National Council of ruling Awami League (AL) is set to begin at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital of Bangladesh on Saturday morning (October 22).
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also president of Awami League, will inaugurate the two-day program around 10:00 am here.
Sheikh Hasina will preside over the council that will uphold party’s history, tradition and the course of struggling.
The opening session of the council will begin through recitation from all religious books.
Later, party’s president Sheikh Hasina will hoist national flag while general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam will hoist party’s flag followed by national anthem.
After the national anthem, the theme song of Awami League will be played.
Presidium member, also health minister, Mohammad Nasim will give the welcome speech.
In the inaugural session, guests from different political parties of the country and foreign political parties will also address.
AL president and Prime minister Sheikh Hasina will give her speech at the end of opening session.
General Secretary‘s report will be presented after the party president’s speech.
Districts leader will have their speech after launch break. A cultural program will also be held in the evening.
