‘Govt wants to conceal Nasirnagar incident’

DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser Joynal Abedin Faruk said the government was arresting the BNP leaders to hide the fact behind the gruesome attacks on minorities in Brahmanbaria’s Nasirnagar upazila.

He made the allegations while speaking at a human chain by Jatiyatabadi Motor Chalak Dal in front of National Press Club on Thursday (November 17) asking to select an acceptable person as election commissioner.

Faruk said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will meet the press on Friday (November 18) to call for a fair election and establish democracy.

BNP Mass Education Affairs secretary Professor Selim, Jatiyatabadi Desh Bachao Manush Bachao movement’s president KM Rakibul Islam Ripon and others also spoke at the event.
