DHAKA: Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of police detained three activists of banned outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from city’s Jatrabari area on Tuesday (November 22).

The detainees were identified as Rashedur Rahman alias Sumon, 24; Shahidul Islam alias Shipon, 23 and Babu Hawlader alias Hossain, 28.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Media and Public Relations Department senior assistant commissioner (AC) ASM Hafizur Rahman confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said police nabbed them by conducting a drive in Kajla area under Jatrabari Thana and seized 10kg explosives among other equipments from the spot.

He further said that the detainees are active member of JMB (Old).
