DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Thursday asked BNP Chief Khaleda Zia to appear before court on January 9 in 10 cases.

Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah of Metropolitan Sessions Judges Court, in his order, also said, her bail will be cancelled, if she fails to appear on the given date.

He fixed the date in response to 10 separate petitions submitted by Khaleda’s lawyer Sanaullah Mia.

The ten cases includes eight sabotage cases filed with city’s Darussalam thana, a case filed with Jatrabari Thana under Explosives Act and another one sedition case filed for allegedly insulting the martyrs of Liberation War.
