DHAKA: Joint secretary general of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Ruhul Kabir Ahmed Rizvi categorically said they would not support any kind of one sided reformation of the election commission (EC).

In response to a recent speech by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the BNP leader further said the commission has to be reformed in such a way so that all the political parties can rely on it.

Rizvi made the assertions during addressing a press briefing at party’s Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka around 11:00 am.

Terming the “Open Sky” agreement with India as against the country’s interest, he asked the government not to sign it.

“India will gain more from the accord,” he added.
