DHAKA: Ruling Awami League (AL) will hold a rally on January 10 at city’s Suhrawardy Udyan to mark the Homecoming Day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

AL general secretary Obaidul Quader made the announcement at a press briefing at party president Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi office Monday afternoon (December 19).

The rally will begin around 2:30pm on the day.

“We hope it will turn out to be a historic rally where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will deliver a speech for the countrymen.”

AL joint general secretaries Mahbubul Alam Hanif and Dr. Dipu Moni, Organizing secretary Ahmed Hossain among many others were also present at the program.
