KUSHTIA: Information Minister also President of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal Hasanul Haq Inu on Friday (December 1) said that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is not above the law and the cases she is facing aren’t politically influenced.

“The cases are functioning as per the law and the court. It has no political connection”, he said.

Inu made the remark in reaction to a recent comment from BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, while talking to the reporters after exchanging greetings with his party leaders and activists at Kushtia Circuit House, at around 10:00am.  

“There is distinguished act to take action against the people who obstruct the legal process. Therefore, Khaleda Zia or her accomplices may face separate case if they interrupt the functioning of legal process”, added the minister.    

Inu also addressed a program arranged by Mirpur upazila unit of Muktijoddha command, at the upazila Muktijoddha complex building, attended by his party leaders and the freedom fighters.
