Law enforcers ready to face 18-party

DHAKA: State Minister for Home Affairs Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku on Thursday categorically said law enforcers are ready to face the so called protest of 18-party on October 25.

The ruling Awami League lawmaker came up with the disclosure at a human chain formed by ‘Sommilito Muktijoddha Front’ in front of the National Press Club.

Criticizing BNP-led 18-party, he said, “The people of the country are not with them anymore. The people are not afraid of their empty threat.”

The state minister also urged the youths to prevent the 18-party protest.

The Awami League leader also criticized the opposition leader Khaleda Zia for taking side of the war criminals.

He also criticized the involvement of madrasa students with preparing grenades.

With president of the organization Ismat Kader Gama in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, general secretary Mahbub Alam Chowdhury and Joint General Secretary Lal Mahmud Mia.
