DHAKA: BNP advisory council member Amir Khasru Mohammad Chowdhury said Dr Muhammad Yunus will be given due honour if his party assumes power through upcoming parliament elections.

He came up with the observation while addressing a roundtable at Dhaka Reporters Unity on Thursday as chief guest organized by Ganatantrik Jote.

 “Yunus is a global leader. He is the one and only global leader from our country.”

“Awami League government will never harm Dr Yunus standing against him. If Sheikh Hasina realized the matter, Yunus could have been utilized in brightening the country’s image before the world,”  Khasru said,

He also said if BNP comes in power in the future Yunus will be given due respect.
