DHAKA: Opposition leader and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia met Jamaat-e-Islami assistant secretary general barrister Abdur Razzak on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was present in the meeting.

Barrister Razzak went to Khaleda’s Gulshan residence at around 10:15pm where they talked 45 minutes but discussed topics could not be known.

But sources said Barrister Razzak informed Khaleda of various matter of ongoing trials.

Party sources said they also discussed the plan ahead of upcoming parliamentary elections.

Earlier, International Crimes Tribunals pronounced verdict of some top leaders of Jamaat including BNP standing committee member Salauddin Quader Chowdhury.
