Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) filed another case Helena Jahangir, a businessperson turned politician, for running an IPTV channel illegally.

Sub-inspector Idris Ali of RAb-4 filed the case with Pallabi Police Station last night under Telecommunications Act for operating "Joyjatra television" without government approval and license and running its office illegally in Dhaka's Mirpur area.

ASP ANM Imran Khan, Senior Assistant Director, Legal and Media Wing, RAB Headquarters, confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Helena Jahangir was remanded for three days in connection with a case filed with Gulshan Police Station under the Digital Security Act on Friday after the businesswoman was arrested from her Gulshan residence in the capital on Thursday midnight.

Helena was arrested a few days after she was relieved of the membership of Awami League’s women affairs subcommittee on charges of breaching disciplines of the party.
