BNP Vice Chairman Adv Khandaker Mahbub Hossain has tested positive for COVID-19.

He is currently undergoing treatment at the corona unit of Ever Care Hospital in the capital.

Khandaker Mahbub's junior colleague Adv Mahbubur Rahman Dulal confirmed the matter.

Khandaker Mahbub's sample for coronavirus test was collected on Monday and it came back positive on Tuesday.

But his health condition is well, Mahbubur Rahman Dulal said.

Khandaker Mahbub Hossain joined the BNP in 2008. From 2009 to 2016, he was an advisor to the BNP chairperson. Later in 2016, he has been made Vice Chairman in the party.
