DHAKA: As per the Constitution, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be chief of election-time government.

The leaders of 14-party grand alliance took the decision in principle in a meeting with Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday night.

After the meeting, Awami League presidium member, also spokesman of the grand alliance Mohammad Nasim said in a press briefing: “The grand alliance has supported Sheikh Hasina to be head of polls-time government.”

The press briefing was attended, among others, by Syed Ashraful Islam, Rashed Khan Menon and Mrinal Kanti Das.
