Mild, moderate heat wave likely to continue: Met office

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted that mild to moderate heat wave may continue sweeping over parts of the country for the next 24 hours commencing 9am today (April 13).

According to the met office bulletin, mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and it may continue.

Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country while day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, it added.

Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay.

Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 39.7 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga while the lowest temperature today was 18.5 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.

The sun sets at 6:19 PM today and rises at 5:39 AM tomorrow in the capital.
