SATKHIRA: A woman was killed after a branch of tree, cut by Shibir men to block road, fell upon her at Gapinathpur under Kolaroa upazila of the district on Wednesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Ambia Khatun, 30, wife of Harunur Rashid of Gapinathpur.

The incident took place at around 12:30am on Satkhira-Jessore highway.

Kolaroa thana Officer-in-charge Shahadara Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
