The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thunder showers with lightning and temporary gusty winds in parts of the country. 

According to a bulletin issued this noon, such weather is likely at a few places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions. Hail may also occur at isolated spots. 

The met office attributes the weather pattern to a trough of low over West Bengal and adjoining areas, along with a seasonal low over the South Bay.

Temperatures across the country are expected to remain nearly unchanged. Today’s highest temperature was 35.8°C in Feni, while the lowest was 19.6°C in Tetulia.
