4.6 magnitude earthquake jolts Chattogram

A 4.6 magnitude earthquake was felt in Chattogram and some other parts of the country on Sunday (April 30) noon.

The earthquake was felt at 12:56 pm. 

Meghnad Tanchangya, assistant meteorologist at the Patenga Met Office confirmed the matter.

He said a mild earthquake was felt in Chattogram and surrounding areas of Dhaka at noon.

However, no casualties have been reported so far.
