DHAKA: Members of National Security intelligence held a Pakistan National from Shahjalal International Airport with ₨ 1.36 crore early Thursday.

The detainee is Md Imtiaz.

Airport customs assistant commissioner Abdul Hamid confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said acting of tip off, NSI members nabbed Imtiaz from a flight of Itihad Airways from Lahore, Pakistan via Dubai, United Arab Emirates and recovered huge Indian rupees from his possession.  

The seized Indian currency was deposited to customs.

The process is underway to file a case with Airport thana in this connection.
