DHAKA: Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman HM Ershad expelled presidium member Kazi Zafar Ahmed from the party for his alleged involvement in violating discipline.

He came up the disclosure while talking to journalists at a city hotel on Thursday noon.

Ershad said, “I have signed his suspension letter. So, he is not member of Jatiya Party from today.”

He also claimed that Zafar is betrayer and he forgot the party’s contribution in his life.  “When he was seriously ill, the party sent him to Bangkok for better treatment,” he said.

Ershad termed that Kazi Zafar’s remarks about the party is baseless.
