DHAKA: Foreign Secretary of India Sujatha Singh is scheduled to visit Dhaka on December 4 for a short time.

She will visit the country amid rising political violence in Bangladesh over the polls-time government for the 10th general elections.

Sujatha will visit the country just before the visit of Taranco, Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs of the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

Foreign ministry sources said Sujatha would stay in Dhaka only for one-day and leave on December 5.
