Chief of Army Staff General S M Shafiuddin Ahmed returned home today after attending the 42nd general assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) in Thailand.

During the visit, he cast his vote in the executive committee elections of the Olympic Council of Asia (2023-2027) as the President of the Bangladesh Olympic Association, said an ISPR release.

The army chief also attended bilateral meetings with sports leaders of different countries and exchanged views on mutual sports development.

General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed left Dhaka for Thailand on July 7 last.
